What Kind of Engine is in the Chrysler Pacifica?

The Chrysler Pacifica is one of the few remaining mini-vans on the market. Chrysler offers the Pacifica in six trim levels: L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, L Plus, and Limited. Each trim is powered by the same engine with no options available.

The Chrysler Pacifica comes with a 3.6-Liter V6 engine that generates 287-horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 262 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. The horsepower/torque ratio is closer than in most vehicles bringing the decrease in return power lower. In other words, while driving around San Leandro and running the engine between 4,000 rpm and 6,400 rpm, you are losing applied force as you climb, reducing your fuel mileage, thus the difference of 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

At San Leandro Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, we show you how to combat this relative loss in mileage, giving you the chance to increase your fuel economy.
